Sunami
Tsunami (pronounced 'soo NAH mee') is a Japanese term for a towering wave produced by an earthquake or volcanic eruption. Since we're in the sun business, we dropped the 'T' to get the name for our new vertical unit: the Sunami.

Quality Construction
Like all Sontegra products, the Sunami is built in Germany to last! The outer shell is made of steel, for the ultimate in strength and durability. Yet the unit has a rounded, graceful look. There is also an optional changing room available for the Sunami.
Intense Tanning Power
Like the wave it's named for, the Sunami is both powerful and towering! Equipped with 48 Cosmolux VHR 200 9K90(180 watt) lamps, the Sunami delivers incredible Virtual HP tanning results in a short session. The 2-meter version of the famous VHR 9K90 lamp is not only stronger (180 watts instead of 160), but also longer (200 millimeters = 79 inches versus 71 inches for the standard VHR lamp).
These longer 79' VHR 9K90 lamps improve upon the regular 71' VHR 9K90 lamps in a very important way: in any VHR lamp, UV output does not begin at the lamp ends, but about 3-4 inches in from the ends. This is necessary for technical reasons, but it effectively reduces the UV-emitting length of the lamp by 6-8 inches. So in a 6-foot lamp, UV is produced in only 5 ½ feet of the lamp's length. By lengthening the lamp by over 8 inches, the effective tanning area of the VHR 200 9K90 is increased by a like amount. This means that full UV output is produced over more than 6 feet of the lamp's length! Because of this, the Sunami gives true full-body coverage, and is more effective in tanning the face and legs than standard tanning lamps. An added benefit is that the Sunami will accommodate even the tallest tanner with room to spare!
Comfort And Safety
The interior of the Sunami is oval-shaped, so that all parts of the tanner's body are about equal distance from the lamps, for an even and uniform tan. Two handles are provided for balance, and for those tanners who prefer to raise their arms while tanning.
An incredibly powerful 3300 CFM axial ventilator cools the unit and the customer. A perforated steel plate is mounted just under the fan, to protect against any possibility of a tanner's hair being pulled up into the fan.
Acrylics prevent the customer from touching the hot lamps or inadvertently breaking them. And the removable base is made of non-porous metal, for easy and thorough cleaning.
